Let me tell you something right now—traveling with a baby does not mean your itinerary has to disappear. It just means you move a little differently… a little softer… and with a lot more intention.
This Ireland trip was all about balance for me—seeing the beauty of Dublin while still making space for rest, baby time, and (yes) a little fun for mom too.
If you’re planning a trip and wondering how to make it all work with a little one, here’s exactly how we did it.
Day 1: Arrival + Ease Into Dublin
We landed in Dublin at 7:00 AM, and I already knew—this was not the day to do too much.
After dropping off our suitcases and freshening up, we headed out for a relaxed lunch at
The Cheeky Piglet —such a cute, easy spot to start the trip.
From there, we kept things light but still hit some of Dublin’s must-sees:
- Dublin Castle
- Christ Church Cathedral
- St Patrick’s Cathedral
Nothing rushed. Lots of stroller breaks. Taking it all in.
And listen… by dinner time? We were done 😂
Room service, baby cuddles, and early rest.

Day 2: Slow Morning + A Little Adventure (and a Date Night 👀)
This day was all about balance.
We started slow with breakfast and time at the hotel—because jet lag with a baby is real. No overpacking the morning.
Then we got back outside:
- 1:00 PM: Guinness Storehouse
- Kilmainham Gaol

Later, we switched it up with a scenic moment at
Howth Cliff Walk
And yes… we stopped for oysters at the pier because when in Ireland, right?
Before heading back, we grabbed snacks for the next day (pro tip: always stay stocked when traveling with a baby).
And then… Mom & Dad Time
Traveling with a Baby Tip
Book a trusted hotel babysitting service.
For our Dublin trip, I used
Elisa Babysitting
and I would 100% recommend them to any family traveling to Ireland.
They provide professional, in-room childcare—so your baby stays comfortable in a familiar space while you step out for a little reset.
Why I loved them:
- Easy communication + very professional
- Experienced with infants
- Warm, attentive care
- Gave me real peace of mind
Sometimes the best thing you can do on a trip is take a moment for yourself—and this made it possible.
After the babysitter arrived, my husband and I went to dinner and then a Pub Crawl across Dublin’s coolest bars.
Day 3: A Little Magic (Game of Thrones Fans )
We had a morning plan that I was too excited about:
- 9:45 AM: Game of Thrones Studio Tour

If you’re a fan, you already know—this was such a cool experience.
After that, we kept things flexible with a late lunch and a relaxed afternoon. At this point in the trip, I’m always checking in with my energy and baby’s mood.
No pressure, just vibes.
Day 4: Culture, Food & One Last Dublin Day
We eased into our final full day with breakfast and—yes—more chill time at the hotel.
Then we headed out for:
- Lunch at Leo Burdock (a must for fish & chips!)
- 1:00 PM: Jameson Distillery Bow St.
- Trinity College Dublin where we got to see the Book of Kells
- Bread 41 (because pastries always make the itinerary better)
- EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
This day felt full—but not overwhelming. That’s always the goal.

Day 5: Goodbye Ireland ✈️
And just like that… it was time to head to the airport.
No rushing, no overbooking—just a smooth exit and one last moment to take it all in.
Bye bye Ireland 💛
